Esther 4:12-14

¹² When Esther’s words reached Mordecai, ¹³ he sent back this reply: “Do not imagine that because you are in the king’s palace you alone of all the Jews will escape. ¹⁴ Even if you remain silent now, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place;^[a] but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows? Perhaps it was for just such a time as this that you obtained the royal dignity.”
